Directed by Prithivi Adhitya, the theatre artiste and former cricketer, has been roped in for the role of an investigative officer in the film.

Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, known for her versatility, has bagged yet another powerful role in the film Rendaavadhu Aattam, featuring Sarath Kumar. Directed by Prithivi Adhitya, the theatre artiste and former cricketer, has been roped in for the role of an investigative officer in the film.

“When Prithivi narrated the script to me, I okayed it without any hesitation. It had a solid role for me,” Lakshimi starts her conversation with DC.

On her power-packed role, she says, “It is not the routine khaki-clad police role. I portray an investigating cop, who helps Sarath Kumar sir, who also plays a high-profile police officer. There’s scope for action sequences in the film.”
About her preparations in terms of looks and body language, she says, “The director and I are researching on the look and feel of the character. But, there’s no romance for me in RA.” (smiles)

She is looking forward to her soon-to-release movie Richie, which has Nivin Pauly in the lead — “The teaser released recently has created an online wave. I play a fisherwoman called Philomena and it was challenging considering that I am a vegetarian and have never touched fish in my life; I had to come out of my comfort zone to essay the character.”

Talking about Richie’s director Gautham Ramachandran, she says, “He is extremely sure of what he wants and that made our job easy. It was an enriching experience.” She also has Tamil film Revelation with Chetan, and an independent multilingual film, Pakshi in her kitty.
