Yasmin Ponnappa who made heads turn with her strong performance in the 2011 award winning Tamil film Aaranya Kaandam had gone into oblivion. Now, after a gap of seven years, she has resurfaced in K’town though a short film Kalki. She acts in a dual role in this emotional short film, which is based on the relationship between a physicist (played by Kishore) and girlfriend who is half his age.
Directed by Dhilip Kumar, Kalki, well received globally, has become the first short in Tamil to be aired on Netflix.
