Mani Ratnam to make a Rajinikanth biopic?

At a recent event in Bengaluru, filmmaker Mani Ratnam has opened up about making a biopic on Rajinikanth. In fact, he has collaborated with the Superstar only once, for Thalapathy, in his career spanning three decades.

When one of the participants at the discussion queried him about directing a biopic of Rajinikanth, the Roja filmmaker reacted positively and said that it is definitely a good idea. Reportedly, he said, “I can make it if only I find a suitable actor who has the ability to portray Rajinikanth on the big screen. I have worked with him only once. It was a delightful experience. I am really fortunate I could bring out the actor in him to a certain extent hidden behind his star image.”
