Trisha chooses another women-centric film

The new film titled 1818 is based on the Mumbai terror attacks.

Looks like 2017 is starting on a great note for Trisha, as she has been getting great offers in different genres. She is over the moon as directors are writing scripts for her.

The latest one she has signed is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, interestingly titled 1818. Directed by debutant Rithun Sagar, the movie is set in a five-star hotel and will focus on the inadequacies in communication, which leads to colossal mayhem. Speaking to DC, Rithun says, “Trisha plays a hotel hostess and the film is inspired by the terror attacks that took place in Mumbai on November 26, 2008.” 1818 is a heroine-oriented movie, and the supporting cast includes Suman, Rajhendra Prasad, Brahmmanandam, Ramesh Thilak and Meera Ghoshal. While Thaman will be composing the music, Om Prakash does the camera work for the thriller. Madan Karky will be penning the lyrics. Sources say that there will be no actor starring opposite Trisha.

When the actress was contacted, she did confirm that she has signed the project. “It’s an exciting script and I am looking forward to start working in the film,” says Trisha.
