A horror film in an abandoned school
Bhuvan R Nullan, a mechanical engineer-turned-short filmmaker, is venturing into the industry with a horror comedy film titled Mo, starring Suresh Ravi, Aishwarya Rajesh, Pooja Devariya and Ramesh Thilak in the lead roles.
Speaking about the film, Bhuvan says, “Mo is the shortened name of the title character. The reason for this title will be revealed in the climax of the film. I don’t think Mo will fall under the ‘commercial ghost movie’ format as we planned the film to be devoid of any commercial elements. These days most of the horror films are colourful. We shot majority of the scenes at an abandoned school in Sri Perambudur with limited light.”
The director claims that shooting at the school was spooky — “It is in the interiors of Sri Perambudur and the lighting equipments we took were our only source of light.” Aishwarya Rajesh plays a junior artist in the film, who gets possessed by a ghost in the second half of the film. “She has two to three variations to show on-screen,” concludes Bhuvan.
