The audio of Anand Shakar’s Iru Mugan starring Vikram, Nithya Menen, and Nayanthara was unveiled yesterday in the presence of cast members, guests of honour Nivin Pauly, Sivakarthikeyan, and director Hari. The trailer and Vikram’s transsexual avatar in the film was much talked about at the launch. However, heroines Nithya Menen and Nayanthara gave the event a miss.
While everyone were busy lavishing praise on the Iru Mugan team, director Hari took the press and audience by surprise with the announcement of Saamy 2. The Singam director revealed that his next film after S3, would be the sequel to Saamy with Vikram in the lead. Sources reveal that the shooting of this sequel would commence sometime in October. However, it is still unclear whether Vikram would act in Thiru’s Garuda and Saamy 2 simultaneously.
Produced by Shibu Thameens, this film will also have Harris Jayaraj as the music composer and cinematographer Priyan. The rest of the cast and crew of Saamy 2 will be announced in the coming days. Read this space for more updates!
