After critically acclaimed Poovarasam Pee Pee and her upcoming film Sillu Karupatti, director Halitha Shameem is all set with her next titled Aelay (a slang used in Tirunelveli). The ‘neo-realistic comedy’ Aelay stars Samuthirakani and Manikandan.
Halitha Shameem, a former assistant of Pushkar and Gayathri, said, “I’m totally excited to be directing Aelay, a script that I had written many years ago which is still close to my heart. And to have my mentors, Pushkar and Gayatri as my creative producers, it is bliss”. The shooting of the film produced by Y Not Studios and Reliance starts in Palani on May 3.
