Injury, a good luck for GV Prakash?
Actor GV Prakash Kumar was injured while he was shooting for his upcoming flick Kuppatthu Raja, directed by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Baba Bhaskar.
Talking to DC, GV revealed that his right toe was deeply wounded while shooting at Mohan Studios. He also added, “Conceived by stunt master Dhilip Subbarayan, the scene was about me catching a flying kite. I had to run over a cart and then jump onto the roof of a house and catch the kite’s thread. I did it without a body double and had a harness for safety measures. Everything went well till I jumped onto the rooftop. While running there, I slipped and my right toe was deeply cut. I writhed in pain.”
“Although the director suggested that we shoot another day, I did not want to waste time, so put on a bandage and continued with the work,” he added.
However, the young actor feels that getting hurt during shoots works to his favour. “I had injured my back badly while shooting for my debut film Darling. The pain persisted throughout the filming. The movie turned out to be a huge hit.” Hope his sentiment-driven success streak continues in Kuppatthu Raja as well!
