Sai Gokul Ramnath, a former assistant of ace filmmaker KV Anand in films like Ayan, Ko and Maatraan, is a content man these days. His long-pending debut first psychological comedy Valeba Raja, starring Santhanam, has finally hit the theatres!
Gokul tells DC, “I hail from a family of doctors, but my passion has always been filmmaking. There was a huge buzz when I roped in Santhanam, Vishakha Singh and Sethu from the blockbuster film Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya for Valeba Raja. Due to certain problems, the release was delayed.”
Gokul adds, “Nevertheless, it has got good feedback from the audience. Valeba... also has got a Tollywood offer! I have three bound scripts ready. A big banner from T’town has almost finalised one of my scripts, which is an adult comedy. Now, don’t let your imagination loose. It will be a family entertainer with genuine humour!”
Speaking about Vishakha, Gokul says, “Though she is quite talented, she is yet to get a meaty role to prove her mettle.” However, it is learnt that Gokul might direct a Bollywood film which will be produced by Vishakha Singh!
