With horror films still ruling Tamil cinema, yet another in the genre — Nenjil Oru Oviyam, laced with romance and sentiment, is ready for release. Vetri, who played the lead in Thangaratham will be seen as a male protagonist in the role of an artist and actress Akrisha makes her debut as the female lead around whom the story revolves.

Talking about the film, director Jothipillai who also doubles up as an actor, says, “The film screenplay travels in three dimensions - love, sentiment and horror. A female centric genre, Akrisha has a solid role to portray. It is about an artist who wants to achieve in his field. He falls for a girl and how his romance diverts him from his goal and whether he succeeds in his aim is narrated with twists and turns.” The film was shot in picturesque locales in Chennai and Andhra.
