Bollywood star Aamir Khan, known to speak up boldly on social issues, has come to the rescue of victims of Cyclone Gaja in Tamil Nadu. The actor took to his social media handle to write, “I’m very saddened to hear of the devastation caused by Cyclone Gaja in Tamil Nadu. Let us all come together to help our brothers and sisters there who are suffering. Let us try and contribute in any way that we can.”
Many including Kamal Haasan fans have hailed Aamir for his humanitarian gesture.Thalapathy David wrote, “We love you sir truly Best Human being salute Sir on behalf of all thalapathy fans.” Yet another follower of Ulaganayagan Kamal posted, “@ikamalhaasan we r very much happy to get ur support for gaja replying to our nammavars request. As a state we all need your support at this time. Thanks for ur reply and contribution. It’s Kamal Haasan the lone hope for us.. Thank you Nammavarey.”
In an earlier post, the actor turned politician Kamal had urged people from all quarters to come forward and help those affected by Cyclone Gaja. The actor also took to his twitter handle to thank Aamir, posting, “Thank you so much @aamirkhan Ji. In many ways people like you make us feel it is truly “One Country.”
