More contestants in TFPC elections

With just few weeks to go for the elections to the Tamil Film Producers Council, the most powerful body of Kollywood, a fourth team has joined the fray.

While veterans including T. Rajendhar and Murali Ramasamy are already in the running, a group of actors-turned-producers of small films, named Munnettra Ani, is contesting for the 21 EC seats alone.

At a recent meet, members including actor Gemini Raghava, Winner Ramachandran and Rajhendran said, “Since none of the promises made by previous regime were fulfilled, we formed this team to help ourselves. We want the elected honchos of TFPC to take the responsibility of selling the rights of satellite, digital and FMS and Hindi dubbing of small budget films, which are our main revenue sources.”
