Meena made her debut as a child artiste and did several movies including the popular Anbulla Rajinikanth. She was later noticed as the lead heroine in Tamil with actor and filmmaker Rajkiran’s film En Rasavin Manasile. An interesting development is that the bubbly actress is now teaming up with Rajkiran after a gap of 28 years for a bilingual titled Kuberan in Tamil and Shylock in Malayalam.
The movie which features Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead also marks Rajkiran’s debut in M’town and is directed by Ajay Vasudev. It is learnt Rajkiran is penning the dialogues and also trying his hand for the first time in writing lyrics for a song. He has bought the Tamil rights of the film.
While Mammooty acts without a pair, Kalabhavan Shajohn, who acted as one of the villains in Rajini’s 2.O, is essaying a baddie in Kuberan. Siddique is also seen in a crucial role. Popular composer Gopi Sundar scores the music. The movie is set to have a simultaneous release in December.
