Following the success of Baahubali 2 and Puli Murugan, Kerala box office is witnessing yet another humongous hit. Yes, Villain featuring Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Vishal, Manju Warrier and Hansika Motwani directed by B Unni Krishnan had a record opening. The film also marks the debut of Vishal and Hansika in M’town.
Mohanlal essayed a retired police officer and Vishal played a doctor. The film Villain has grossed big numbers, thereby eclipsing the previous records of Mohanlal movies. Talking to DC, Vishal said, “When the story was narrated by Unnikrishnan, I knew it had a winning script. Now it has been proved with its
success.”
Ask him if he would do more movies in Malayalam, he replies, “If the script
fascinates me, why not?” The film was bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh. —AS
