Sukumar on board for Arjun Reddy remake

The cast and crew of the untitled movie will be announced soon.

Cinematographer Sukumar who has worked in several award winning films has been brought on board for Telugu superhit film Arjun Reddy’s Tamil remake which will be helmed by maverick filmmaker Bala. Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram will be making his grand debut as an actor with this romantic flick set in a medical background.

Sukumar shares a close bond with Bala for over two decades now. He has worked as a photographer in Bala’s Nandha starring Suriya and Laila. A source says, “Shooting of Arjun Reddy’s Tamil remake will commence sometime in January. Dhruv is taking his time to slip into the character of Arjun Reddy.

Sukumar has been an integral part of Dhruv’s formative years and has seen him grow up into a handsome guy. It will be great to see them all together.”

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say that Vijay Deverakonda who essayed the titular character in the original had come down to Chennai on Vikram’s request. Vijay met both the father and son and spent a few hours in the august
company. Dhruv also learnt nuances about the character he will be portraying while Vijay, on the other hand was on cloud nine for having met Vikram, one of his favourite actors of all time.
