It’s a season of short filmmakers rocking in mainstream cinema in K’town. Winners of the second edition of First Clap, talent hunt initiative for aspiring filmmakers by Moviebuff and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment was announced recently. Vishnu Edavan who won the first place with his short Kalki also got the opportunity to narrate a script to Suriya’s home banner.
Speaking at the event Suriya said, “It is easy to make a film. But to make a good film is like going to a war. And to make a cult film is like miracle! If you get the right kind of help at this young age, that’s enough for anyone to come up in life. If you feel you could have done it better, don’t hesitate to mend it immediately.
There should not be any mistakes. Even if it is a short film, see that it is done without any slip-ups. As these will only remain forever as your vising card in life.” Others who won include Balasubramanian for Kambali Poochi, Sarang Thyagu for Perarvam etc.
