Kathir, the actor who is expecting the release of his movie Sigai, where he has experimented with his looks, is looking forward for his next release Sathru. The interesting aspect is that Kathir will be donning khaki for the first time! Srushti Dange will be paired opposite to Kathir in the movie.
Talking about Kathir’s role, director Naveen Nanjundaan says, “Sathru is an edge-of-the-seat action thriller which happens in a day’s time. After considering a few actors, we felt that Kathir was the right choice as his body type and intense demeanour would suit the straightforward cop role. If you notice, in Tamil cinema, every actor would want to do a cop’s role at least once in their career, as the movie would give them a star status. Sathru will bring about a similar push in Kathir’s career.”
Delving more in the subject he says, “The story is about a man who punishes the culprits when the law fails to do so.” Laguparan, who played the hero in films like Raatinam, turns villain for Kathir in Sathru. Ponvannan, Neelima, Marimuthu, Suja Varunee among others, essay supporting roles.
