Venkat Prabhu has an evil side in Kalavu

Director Venkat Prabhu, who recently announced his production venture, seemed to be excited about his next Kalavu, where he is donning greasepaint once again. The producer-actor will be sporting a khakhi in director Murali Karthik’s film. The film which is touted to be a thriller, has Kalaiyarasan, Karunakaran and Abhirami Iyer in the lead.
Talking about his character Prabhu says, "When Murali came and asked if I can do the police inspector role, I was really amused. I asked him if he was really serious. He was very particular as he wanted someone fresh who can also be realistic on screen."
On his character, the Chennai 600028 director says, "I play Ilam Tamizh, an inspector entrusted with the investigation of a murder case. He is not a bad cop, but has a tinge of evil traits in him. I thoroughly enjoyed my stint."
