Seyal given U' Certificate
Tharushi is the latest import from Malayalam to K’town. Even before her first film in Tamil in ace filmmaker - actor Ameer’s production venture Achchamillai Achchamillai is yet to hit the marquee, the pretty girl has completed two more films where she plays the lead heroine. She will be seen in a solid role in Seyal, a North Chennai gangster story, which has Tejeshwar as the protagonist. Ravi Abbulu, who had worked with the likes of ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay, is wielding the megaphone.
Talking about his film, Ravi says, “It is story of a North Chennai thug who controls the entire Mint area in the city. The hero comes to this locality for some work and a fracas between him and the rowdy ends in the latter beating the former. When the news spreads like wildfire, the thug wants to become prominent and look out for the boy to hit him again. But, it is the boy’s turn now. He attacks the ‘dada’ in front of the entire crowd, which puts the latter to shame.
The rowdy is out to take revenge on the boy. It is a high action film with humour and romance thrown in proportionately.” Chandra plays the villain. Siddharth Vipin’s music is said to be a highpoint. The film has been given a ‘U’ Certificate by the Censor Board and they also appreciated the neat content, claims Ravi, who did Shahjahan with Vijay.
