If reports are to be believed, Priya Mani will reprise Manju Warrior’s role in the T'town remake of Asuran, which has Venkatesh playing the lead in place of Dhanush in the Tamil film. Asuran, based on the novel Vekkai and directed by Vetri Maaran which had emerged as a blockbuster in 2019.
Srikant Addala helms the movie in Telugu. Reportedly, Shriya Saran was the initial choice for the role, but for some reasons that didn’t work out.
However, when DC contacted Priya Mani, all she had to say was: “Nothing confirmed. Talks are on. As of now, I can only say this.”
