Item girl Risha turns heroine for a suspense thriller titled Bayangaramaana Aalu. The movie revolves around ancient Siddhars and their secrets. Arasar Raja directs the movie besides playing a double role as the lead actor.
“Siddhars are a type of intellectuals in India who are said to have possessed incredible powers and accomplished a ‘god-like’ state through specific secret practices that were known only to them. Their teachings and texts are found in palm leaf manuscripts.
There are many legends about them. I took interesting aspects from books on Siddhars, palm leaf inscriptions and made an interesting thriller. What happens when an ordinary person tries to explore the mysteries behind Siddhars forms the crux,” Raja tells us.
The movie has been shot extensively in the forest areas of Poochaandikuppam near Vellore and in the old French fort inside.
