Arjay was introduced in K’town five years back by actor Vishal in his film Naan Sigappu Manithan. After appearing in minor roles in many films, his baddie role in Sandakozhi 2 has given him a new identity. Arjay shares his experiences about working with Vishal and veteran Raj Kiran and how he was jittery while doing the climax panchayat scene. “I got selected after I did proper auditions with Lingusamy sir. I shot for 70 days. Vishal sir gave me lot of encouragement and support.”
While Varalaxmi played the main villain, it was Arjay’s character which executes her tasks. “Varu is my good friend. So, I didn’t have any issues acting with her. But, my apprehensions started while sharing screen space with Raj Kiran sir. No one will shine if he is in a scene. But, much to my surprise, he was so cordial and helped me to perform better. He was appreciative with each shot, especially in the crucial panchayat scene.’ Arjay’s kitty is full now with five films including Ayogya, Velvet Nagaram and Devi 2.
