It seems like Samantha is on a total signing spree! The actress recently expressed her disappointment about heroines not getting any meaningful roles in Tamil cinema and added that she wouldn’t be signing films for a while. Soon after the announcement, she went ahead and signed an untitled film with Sivakarthikeyan, which will be helmed by director Ponram. Apart from this untitled film, she was also signed on for debutant director Mithran’s Irumbu Thirai with Vishal, whose shooting is currently underway.
The Theri actress has now also been roped in to play the lead role in Aaranya Kandam director Thiagaraja Kumararaja’s multi-starrer film. Sources close the actress’ camp confirmed the news and added that she has been paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
She will also start shooting for this yet-to-be-titled film from January and the first schedule will be shot in Chennai. Actors Fahadh Faasil and Nivin Paul are also rumoured to be a part of this ambitious project, which is said to be produced by Thiagaraja Kumararaja himself.
