Kadala Poda Oru Ponnu Venum was mired in controversy when the first look was released for its double entendre objectifying women. Director Anandharajan, a former assistant to Samuthirakani, was to clarify that the film has no sleazy content and is a fun filled laugh riot, and that the posters were created to kindle curiosity.
The film has Chinna Thirai celebrity Azhar and Manishajith in the lead. Now sources say director Anandharajan has extended the portions of Yogi Babu, the latest sensation who stars invariably in every film as filmmakers try to cash in on his newfound popularity. However, the director asserts that what was committed to Yogi was only shot . “It will bring out yet another dimension to Yogi Babu. He plays a sirippu rowdy and all his underlings are women. Yogi will bring the roof down with his comedy galatta with his women sishyas.”
