Vijay’s dad SA Chandrashekaran, better known as SAC, is back to wielding megaphone after four years, his last film having been Touring Talkies. The filmmaker, who donned grease paint for films like Kodi, Nayyapudai, Aurudra and Traffic Ramasamy, was concentrating more on acting ventures that his direction took a backseat.
The new film, SAC’s 70th direction, is titled Love Matter and has Jai in the lead with two glamour girls in Vaibhavi Sandilya and Athulya Ravi giving him romantic company.
Talking about the film, Jai says, “Love Matter has an interesting premise. It is a fun filled entertainer, which would go well with youngsters. This is my 25 milestone film in my career and I am happy to team up with SAC sir.”

“I have heard that SAC is a task master and very strict on the sets. But, contrary to that he gave a free hand and we enjoyed our stint while shooting. I have noticed that the hero name in most of his hit directorial ventures with Vijay and Vijayakanth is Vijay. Hence, sentimentally, I requested him to change mine from Karthi to Vijay in Love Matter and he gracefully obliged,” Jai revealed.
