It has been 15 years since Sarath Kumar and Napoleon came together on-screen in the hit movie, Thenkasi Pattanam. Now, the two veterans are joining hands for Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2. Though this is not a sequel to the film of the same name, the makers say that they kept the title keeping in mind the genre (crime-thriller), in mind.
“The film is based on the crime-thriller novel by popular writer Rajesh kumar. Sarath sir will play a spy agent. We have already started shooting his portions in Coimbatore,” informs the film’s director JPR.
And interestingly, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, who has never shared screen space with Sarath Kumar, has been roped in to play a crucial character in the film.
Munishkanth and Baby Sathanya of Nishabdham fame appear in key characters.
