Model-turned-actress Sakshi Agarwal is on cloud nine as she has been roped in to play a brief role in Superstar Rajinikanth’s new movie Kaala-Karikaalan, a political drama directed by Pa. Ranjith which went on floors in Mumbai recently.
An excited Sakshi says, “I feel blessed to be part of a Superstar Rajini sir’s film even at the beginning of my career.” Like every other actor in a Ranjith film who would be tight-lipped, Sakshi was not ready to reveal any information about her role. However, when asked how she got chosen, she quips, “I auditioned not once, but thrice, with the given situations. It was a highly energetic and motivating unit.”
She adds quickly, “Irrespective of big or small, any character in Ranjith sir’s movie would always stand out.” Close sources reveal that though most of the characters speak a particular slang, Sakshi will be speaking normal Tamil. While few of her portions will be shot in Mumbai, most part will be canned in Chennai.
Reportedly, Rajinikanth’s introduction song was recently shot at live locations in Dharavi. According to rumours, it is tipped to be a rap number.
