Kamal Haasan, Suriya and Trisha were prominent stars who have pledged to donate their body organs. Vijay Sethupathi joined them with a pledge to donate his eyes. Now, it is the turn of Amala Paul who has pledged to donate her eyes at the Pudhuchery Agarwal Eye Hospital.
The Mynaa actress said that she was involved in the event which showed how the blind and the visually impaired dream about seeing with their own eyes the colour and the beauty of the world. People get inspired from celebrities and follow them in acting for noble causes. India is a country with the highest number of visually impaired people in the world and so the actress urged her fans to also pledge to donate their eyes so that the blind could also see one day.
Apparently, Ms Paul drove down to Pondy in the same S Class Benz car which had dragged her into controversy for registration tax. However, she refused comment on the same as the matter is sub judice.
