Director Rajesh and Santhanam share a great camaraderie and the duo has joined hands in five of his directorial ventures. When Santhanam became a solo hero, he chose not to do comedy roles and hence the director roped in RJ Balaji for his recently released Kadavul Irukan Kumaru with GV Prakash.
Now, the latest update is that the duo is all set to team up once again and this time, Santhanam will be playing the lead role. A source close to the actor says, “It is true that Santhanam will be acting in Rajesh’s next film. The last stages of talks are underway and the agreement will most likely be finalised in the coming days. Sri Thenandal Films might be bankrolling this movie.”
Currently, Santhanam is busy shooting for Selvaraghavan’s Mannavan Vandhanadi, KS Manikandan’s Odi Odi Uzahiakanum and Sethuraman’s Sakka Podu Podu Raja. According to the source, the untitled project with Rajesh will commence sometime in April, after Santa wraps up Mannavan Vandhanadi.
The Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga director is now collaborating with Venkat Prabhu for a film starring Kayal Chandran. Produced by Amma Creations’ T Siva, Rajesh will be penning the script for this flick.
