Karan Johar to Watch Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom?

The event turned electrifying as Vijay led the crowd in chanting “Govinda Govinda,” lighting up the spiritual atmosphere of the temple town.

It appears that Karan Johar has become the go-to name for Telugu filmmakers eyeing a pan-India release. According to industry sources, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming action-adventure film Kingdom have approached the Bollywood producer to release the film in North India.

“Karan Johar has been approached, and discussions are underway. If the collaboration materializes, it will ensure Kingdom gets a massive release in Hindi-speaking markets like Mumbai and Delhi,” revealed a source from Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda sought divine blessings at the trailer launch event held in Tirupati on Saturday. “With the blessings of Lord Venkateswara and the love of my fans, I believe I’ll become unstoppable,” said Vijay. “We’ve assembled a brilliant team—Anirudh, Gautam, and others—who have poured years of hard work into this dream project.”

What truly took fans by surprise was Vijay’s opening speech—in fluent Rayalaseema dialect. His confident delivery and command of the accent drew both cheers and admiration from the audience. The reason behind his dialectal shift lies in his upcoming period film with director Rahul Sankrityan, which requires him to speak in authentic Rayalaseema slang. Vijay reportedly underwent rigorous training and research for the role—and the results were evident on stage.

Though he didn’t address critics directly, Vijay’s effortless command of the dialect served as a subtle but powerful rebuttal to naysayers who doubted his versatility.

After underwhelming performances of Liger and Family Star, Kingdom could be a make-or-break moment in Vijay’s career at this point of time.
