Thug life marks the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after 33 years of Nayakan.

Actor Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming flick Thug Life will hit the screens on June 5th. The makers of the movie earlier planned a grand audio launch event on May 16. On Friday, Kamal Haasan's production house, Raajkamal Films International, announced that they are postponing the audio launch amid the tense situation on India's borders.
In a statement titled 'Art can wait. India comes first', the banner wrote, "In view of the developments at our nation's border and the current state of heightened alert, we have decided to reschedule the audio launch of Thug Life, originally planned for 16th of May (sic)."
The statement adds, "As our soldiers stand firm on the frontlines with unflinching courage in defence of our motherland, I believe it is a time for quiet solidarity, not celebration."
Thug Life is directed by Mani Ratnam. It is one of the most-awaited films of the year. Apart from Kamal Haasan, Thug Life has an ensemble cast including Simbu, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Abhirami and Nasser among others.
