Kamal Haasan’s Supreme Yaskin Might Join ‘Kalki 2’ Sets in February
A few weeks ago, producer Swapna Dutt had hinted at the commencement of Kalki 2.

If reliable sources are to be believed, legendary actor Kamal Haasan is set to commence shooting for the much-awaited sequel to Kalki 2898 AD from February.
Haasan, who was last seen as a ruthless gangster in Thug Life, will once again portray his dark and powerful character Supreme Yaskin in Kalki 2. Unlike the first installment, where his role had limited screen time, the sequel is expected to give him a much larger arc, with nearly 60 to 70 shooting days allotted to his character. “Haasan’s vast range as a performer will come into play in the sequel. His character will not only be powerful but will also explore a wide spectrum of emotions,” revealed a source.
Meanwhile, Prabhas, who essayed a character with grey shades in Kalki 2898 AD, is expected to join the shoot only from March 2026, depending on his prior commitments. “He has a massive role in the sequel, and the story will take his character into new dimensions as he plays Warrior Karna. In the first part, he was seen as a bounty hunter who undertakes various assignments to accumulate power units and dreams of settling in the revered Complex,” added the insider.
A few weeks ago, producer Swapna Dutt had hinted at the commencement of Kalki 2. “We have no other films at the moment. Our entire focus is only on the Kalki sequel, which will start very soon,” she said, without divulging further details.
The epic science-fiction franchise stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Vijay Deverakonda, and the sequel is expected to feature a new female lead in place of Deepika Padukone.
