Kalki 2 Will Be My Best Work, Says Composer Santhosh Narayanan

Prabhas’ mytho sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema, collecting over ₹1000 crore worldwide. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film struck a chord with audiences across regions. The much-awaited sequel is set to go on floors from February.
In a recent interview, music director Santhosh Narayanan shared an exciting update about Kalki Part 2, raising expectations further. “I hope Kalki 2 will be my best work. We are putting in a lot of effort. Kalki 2898 AD was a massive learning experience for all of us. We have already started working on the second part. Everyone involved is a megastar. Once the dates align, shooting will begin,” he said.

Given the phenomenal success of Kalki 2898 AD, which crossed the ₹1000 crore mark globally, anticipation around the sequel has soared. The shoot is expected to begin in February, initially focusing on portions featuring Kamal Haasan, with Prabhas joining the sets later.
With Kalki, director Nag Ashwin has firmly established himself as a pan-India filmmaker, joining the elite league of directors such as S.S. Rajamouli and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
