Jr NTR Fans Demand Public Apology from TDP MLA

The row over Anantapur Urban MLA Daggubati Prasad’s alleged remarks against Jr NTR has escalated, with the actor’s fans refusing to back down despite the MLA releasing a selfie video denying the leaked audio and issuing an apology.

Protests initially broke out in Anantapur, with fans attempting to hold press meets in multiple cities.

Police restrictions, however, forced them to regroup, culminating in a massive gathering at Somajiguda Press Club in Hyderabad. At the meet, hundreds of NTR fans issued a clear ultimatum to the MLA.

They demanded that Prasad tender a public apology in Anantapur, in front of the media and NTR’s fans, instead of posting videos “from behind closed doors.” They further insisted that the individual allegedly threatened by the MLA in the leaked audio should be brought before the gathering. Importantly, they stressed that the apology must extend not just to NTR but also to his mother, who was allegedly insulted.

Fans warned of strong retaliation if their demands are ignored. “If the MLA fails to apologize publicly, we will play the controversial audio clips across Anantapur through DJ systems for everyone to hear,” they declared.

They also questioned the silence of the Telugu Desam Party, pointing out that Jr NTR and his family are an integral part of the TDP’s legacy.

“Why hasn’t action been taken against the MLA who insulted NTR’s mother?” fans asked. While making it clear that their protest is not directed against Chandrababu Naidu or Lokesh, they demanded disciplinary action against Prasad, accusing him of launching a personal attack driven by his agenda.
