Janhvi Kapoor Responds to Trolls Over "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" Chant

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is a constant presence in the news. She recently made headlines after participating in Janmashtami celebrations in Mumbai, where she chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai with the crowd.

This action led to her being trolled by some netizens who teased her, pointing out that Independence Day and Krishnashtami are different.

Janhvi responded to the criticism on her Instagram story. She clarified that the people at the event had first said "Bharat Ki Jai", and she simply followed suit. She went on to accuse those trolling her of editing the video to make it seem as though she was saying the wrong chant at the wrong time. She firmly stated that there is no need for a special day to praise one's country, adding, "I say 'Bharat Ki Jai' every day."

Janhvi is currently awaiting the release of her film, Param Sundari, which is scheduled to hit theaters on August 29, 2025. Ram Charan's Peddi will be her first major 2026 release.
