YouTube star Lilly Singh apologizes for controversial turban comment.
Lilly Singh may have only tried to put at ease Jessica Alba’s kids, who Jessica had said on a recent episode of her show A Little Late With Lilly were embarrassed they’d met Lilly, their favourite YouTube star, while wearing Turbie Twist towels to dry their hair.
Unfortunately for Lilly, her compassion (and comments) threw her amidst a controversy. And now, she is now apologizing.
In the talk show, Lilly had responded to Jessica, saying, “They look like my Punjabi friends. It’s fine!”
But her comment was met with much criticism. Now the 30-year-old has apologized for the “disrespectful and problematic” comment, which she says will be removed from all of the shows clips. Read Lilly Singh’s entire apology on Justjared.
