I thought they’re making fun of me: Kevin Bacon
Actors have insecurities. At least that’s what 61-year-old Hollow Man actor Kevin Bacon revealed on Alex Rodriguez’s podcast The Corp. Speaking to J-Lo’s fiancé, Kevin confessed that at first he was offended by the game that assumed anyone involved in the Hollywood film industry can be linked through their film roles to him in six steps.
“‘They’re making fun of me. I’m an actor. I thought the joke was, “Can you believe that such a lightweight could be connected to Laurence Olivier or Meryl Streep or whatever in six steps or less?”’” Kevin said he initially thought, shares Justjared.
The actor had voiced similar thoughts in 2012 during his TEDxMidwest talk, saying he was “horrified” when the game became popular because of how actors also were only really “masking a lot of deep, deep insecurity”.
However, Kevin didn’t keep at it for too long. In 2007, he launched the charity ‘Six Degrees’, encouraging people to donate or raise money for any charity within the US. “If you take me out of the six degrees idea it really is a beautiful concept because we really are all connected.” Kevin said.
