It was reported by Variety that Orlando Bloom has officially joined the cast of Smart Chase: Fire & Earth. The Shanghai-set action-packed thriller will be directed by French director Julien Seri. Orlando, who is known for his roles such as, Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean series and as Paris in Troy, attended a press event at the Shanghai International Film Festival, where it was announced that he will be joining the movie. His production company, BlissBloom Productions, would be producing it.
Smart Chase is about a washed-up private security agent who gets ambushed as he attempts to escort an expensive Chinese antique out of Shanghai. The film will also star Jing Tian, Leo Wu, Cao Kefan and Lio Enyou, according to JustJared.com.
