On Wednesday night, Kristen Stewart and her Charlie’s Angels co-stars, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott gushed over director Elizabeth Banks, calling her an inspirational trailblazer. “I’m very proud to be here, and to be her friend,” said Kristen.
Stating that she has the utmost respect for Banks’ interpretation of the classic franchise, the Twilight actress added, “We’ve seen Charlie’s Angels before. But she (Banks) saw something in it that needed to be fresh and revitalised.” According to E! Online, it’s an all-woman enterprise, which is possibly why Stewart wanted to work with Banks. “She’s the person that I want to be my boss,” Stewart reveals.
Interestingly, Banks is the 2019 recipient of the Pioneer of the Year Award from the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.
