Helping others, Amber Heard moves on

Heard got a $7 million settlement when the divorce was finalized in January 2017, which she pledged to donate to a pair of charities.

Amber Heard is ‘very happy’ to have moved on with her life and says she’s focused on ‘helping others’

She spoke about gender equality and LGBTQ rights at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday. And on Thursday, Amber explained that a focus on helping others is one of the ways she is ‘moving forward’ following her acrimonious split from now ex-husband Johnny Depp.

“I am very happy that I have moved on with life,” the actress, 32, said in an interview with the Associated Press. “I just keep wanting to do that which makes it better for other people and myself.” Heard accused Depp of domestic violence and in 2016 filed for a restraining order days after suing for divorce after 15 months of marriage.

Depp has repeatedly denied the allegations. Ultimately, Heard got a $7 million settlement when the divorce was finalized in January 2017, which she pledged to donate to a pair of charities.

While not specifically addressing her short-lived marriage or it’s highly publicized end, she did say that she’s using past experiences to help others.
