Charlize Theron, who is mom to seven-year-old Jackson and three-year-old August, recently shared a rare photo of her daughter on Instagram that featured her plucking apples from a tree. “We don’t wanna leaves,” wrote the 44-year-old alongside a second photo that featured her shadow and a scenic view over a body of water.
People reports that the star last shared a photo of her kids in November 2016. And though she has been rather private, the proud mom has spoken in the past about how smart they are.

“They act as if they’re masters of the limited knowledge that they have, and use it consistently against me,” she says with a laugh.
The Oscar winner, who adopted Jackson in 2012 and August in 2015, states that adoption was always her first choice. “Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners that adoption was how my family would look one day,” she says, asserting, “This was definitely not a second option for me. It was always my first.”
