Actor Dax Shepard says that he had initially turned down the role in American television series Parenthood. When it was offered, the actor didn’t want to live away from his now wife Kristen Bell.
The actor, who was then dating Kristen, didn’t want to take up the show since it was scheduled for shoot in Philadelphia and required him to live away for months, reports JustJared.com.
“I got offered Parenthood — I hadn’t acted in a long time, no one was offering me anything and they said, “This show shoots in Philadelphia and I said, ‘There’s no way I can be in this relationship and move to Philadelphia’.” says the actor.
He goes on to add, “I turned that show down which, by the way, is certainly the first time in my life that I had ever done that…I couldn't believe I was doing it.”
Dax eventually took the show after the shoot schedule moved to Los Angeles.
