Katy Perry and Ghostbusters director support Leslie Jones

Apart from fans, singer Katy Perry too showed her support for the comedian.

Actors and fans of comedian Leslie Jones, who starred in the recent Ghostbusters, stood up for her after her nude photos, along with copies of her driver’s license and passport, surfaced on her personal website. The hackers also posted a video in tribute of gorilla Harambe, as a racist dig at the African-American star, reported Dailymail. Soon after that, fans of the SNL star, showed their support and the hashtag #StandWithLeslie showed up online.

Apart from fans, singer Katy Perry too showed her support for the comedian. She tweeted, “Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime. I #StandWithLeslie”(sic). That was followed by an outpouring of support from Ghostbusters director Paul Feig, actresses Patricia Arquette and Lena Dunham, among others. Earlier, Jones was the victim of racist online trolling and some of the comments were so nasty that a few of the trollers were even banned by Twitter.
