Bella Thorne to boycott 'Teen Choice Awards'

Bella Thorne, known for taking a strong stand against online bullying and trolling has said that she will be boycotting the Teen Choice Awards this year, reports JustJared.com.

The 20-year-old actress explained in a series of tweets on Tuesday, why she will be boycotting the award ceremony. “Teen choice is gross. The fact we are even voting against each other is… it f**ks w (with) kids heads like a beauty competition… I’m #boycottingteenchoice besides it being rigged it’s just f**ked up (sic).”

She added in her last tweet, “Vote for the hottest is so gross How about smartest? Or a charity category? How about we hype people up for doing good things not being hot (sic).”
