Many Hollywood celebrities including Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez and others hit the streets to join in the March for Our Lives rally on Saturday afternoon, March 24 in Downtown Los Angeles.
According to reports on JustJared.com, singers Rita Ora, Charlie Puth and Willow Smith even performed on the stage during the event. Leona Lewis was also set to perform, but announced on Twitter that she wasn’t feeling that great to sing.
“It doesn’t matter where you’re from, it’s just so inspiring to be participating in something so powerful,” Rita said during the rally. Selena took to twitter to share a heartfelt message after the event. “I don’t want this to just be an Instagram post anymore. PLEASE. ENOUGH. These people, families and CHILDREN have suffered enough. Today we march for our lives. I’m going to continue to trust god with the future and also play my part in bringing change. #marchforourlives #notjustahashtag (sic),” she wrote.
