Jaime Ciero sues Disney and others
Singer Jaime Ciero claimed that his song Volar was the inspiration for the lead track for the 2013 animated global phenomenon.
Mumbai: The iconic song from Disney’s Frozen, Let It Go, was reportedly ripped off from a famous international artist, who is now suing everyone even remotely connected with the smash hit. According to reports on TMZ.com, singer Jaime Ciero claimed that his song Volar was the inspiration for the lead track for the 2013 animated global phenomenon.
Ciero also pointed out the striking similarities between both the tracks, include note combinations, structures, hooks, melodies, lyrics, themes, production and even voice textures.
If Ciero wins, he wants a share of the movie’s profits, which happens to be one of the highest grossing of all time — making almost $1.3 billion at the box office off its $150 million budget.
