The Now or Never hit-maker Halsey is no fan of Iggy Azalea, the rapper, and she seems to have no inhibition in making her opinion known. In an interview with The Guardian, the 22-year-old singer was talking about artistes featured in her album, when she said, “There are a lot of people I wouldn’t put on my record. Iggy Azalea — absolutely not. She had a complete disregard for black culture. F**king moron. I watched her career dissolve and it fascinated me.”
JustJared.com reports that Hasley then defended her comments in a tweet that was later deleted. She allegedly wrote, “I don’t regret saying Iggy has a disregard for black culture.”
During the same interview, Hasley also defended rapper Quavo, who’s made homophobic comments in the past, but she apologised to her fans on Twitter for doing so, as she claimed that she didn’t know about the comments that he made before working with him.
