One of the lead singers of the band One Direction, Harry Styles, reportedly signed a solo contract with Columbia Records – the same label that currently represents the band, according to Billboard. Rumors of a Styles solo career has been swirling since Zayn Malik officially left the group in 2015.
Earlier, a source told Entertainment Tonight that One Direction was not headed for a permanent split, despite Styles taking time for his acting career and Louis Tomlinson venturing into fatherhood. “Their break remains a hiatus with the intention of reuniting at some point.”
Meanwhile, Styles is preparing for his big-screen debut with Christopher Nolan’s, Dunkirk.
