Mumbai: Hollywood heavyweights Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are all set to embark on a borderline tedious legal battle over their impending divorce.

Pitt has hired his family law attorney, Lance Spiegel, who incidentally also represented Charlie Sheen in his legal tussle with then spouse Heather Locklear. Lance will represent the actor after joining his legal team on Thursday, as per an entertainment website.

Jolie herself has hired another celebrity legal representative, Laura Wasser, who’d represented Johnny Depp in his divorce with Amber Heard.

Reportedly, Lance, a top Beverly Hills attorney will join Pitt’s Hollywood lawyer Alan Hergott to fight it out with Laura. 70-year-old Spiegel had also represented actress Michael Jackson and Eva Longoria amongst other top celebrities.

Jolie filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. Hollywood attorney Robert Offer, a member of her legal team, had spoken to the media on her behalf.

“She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time,” Offer had stated.

“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time,” Pitt had said in his official statement.

There have also been reports of FBI agents are investigating allegations of child abuse against Brad Pitt.

This is one very messy affair in the making!
