The Twitter handle for BET tweeted a video just minutes after the performance, promoting a Prince tribute at their own ceremony. The video had a picture of Prince with the following message written on it: “Yeah, we saw that. Don’t worry. We Got You.”
Madonna and Stevie sang Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares To You — which was written by Prince — and his own legendary track Purple Rain.
